#1 Part Day: One Hour Air Boat Ride and Nature Walk with a Naturalist in Everglades National Park Tour
Head out on a smaller air boat, which enables us to way out there! We stop at one or two Native tree island villages where they used to live; and that can only be accessed by boat and on this tour. Become immersed in their special customs and the authentic beauty of their remote way of life. Also go on a nature walk led by our master naturalist in the actual National Park. We are one of just a few companies permitted to lead interpretive walking tours there. We know where all the wildlife is, and we get to see a lot of it up close! And where wildlife should be experienced, in the wild!
#2 Full Day: Everglades Adventure Tour w/ dry hike led by an experienced naturalist
Come with us on a 1-hour air boat, where we typically see tons of wildlife! Visit a remote Native village. Become immersed in the authentic beauty of their remote way of life. Embark on a 1-hour boat trip in the 10,000 Islands region of Everglades National Park. This is your chance to see bottlenose dolphins, manatees, sawfish, and much more! Visit a historic trading post. Go on a dry nature walk led in Big Cypress National Preserve by your experienced naturalist guide, where we typically see baby alligators, large alligators, other wildlife and a wide variety of bird species! Enjoy a wonderful in Everglades City. Venture on a scenic wildlife spotting back roads drive with your master naturalist guide through Big Cypress. Get your cameras ready. We know where to find the wildlife!
#3 Full Day: Everglades Adventure Tour w/ wet walk led by an experienced naturalist
Take a wet hike led by an experienced naturalist guide. This is a bucket list experience! Join us on this mesmerizing, beautiful walk under a canopy of bald cypress trees. Witness the thousands of beautifully delicate epiphytes, like ferns, bromeliads and orchids; only to be fully experienced on a wet walk. Big Cypress National Preserve, situated right in the middle of the Everglades, is a forested area home to the Florida panther, black bear, wild boar, the endangered Everglades mink, Florida bobcat, and much more! This tour is the same as Tour #2, except that this is a wet walk instead of a dry walk. Just like Tour #2, there is also a 1-hour boat trip in the 10,000 Islands, lunch in Everglades City, a stop at a historic trading post, a 1-hour air boat trip way out in the real Everglades, a stop at a Native tree island village, and a narrated scenic drive through Big Cypress.
#4 Florida Keys Marine Eco Adventure
Head out over the ecologically important sea grass flats with a marine biologist or experienced naturalist guide on a single kayak, a double kayak or a stand-up paddle board.This trip provides the chance to see juvenile nurse sharks, bonnet head sharks, southern stingrays, manatees, sea turtles, and a wide variety of juvenile fish. Then go through an old growth mangrove ecosystem, and view an array of tropical birds. Next, enjoy a wonderful local dockside lunch. Then in the afternoon, head out on a boat and snorkel at two different coral reef locations in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary; and encounter a rich variety of marine life. Converse with your guide about fish identification and intriguing fish behavior, leading to new discoveries. This is the chance to see sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, eels, docile nurse sharks, black tip reef sharks, a wide array of tropical fish species, and so much more.
#5 One Hour Air Boat Ride and Little Havana Walking and Driving Tour w/ time for lunch
Head out far from land way out in the real Everglades on a smaller air boat for a one-hour journey. Experience large and baby alligators, a wide range of bird species, and other wildlife. Stop at one or two Native tree island villages where they used to live. Led by your naturalist guide, become immersed in the unique customs and remote beauty of their history and way of life. Next, head into town and go on a walking tour of historic Little Havana. Stop for a delicious treat at a local bakery, watch a cigar making demonstration, stroll through Maximo Gomez park to experience the domino and chess players and the true Miami lifestyle, and more! Take a narrated driving tour of the neighborhood and surrounding sites. Take time for a wonderful Cuban lunch in the neighborhood.

#7 Full Day: Taste of the Tropics: Tantalizing Flavors and Cultural History of Homestead and Florida City
Visit the amazing wonder that is Coral Castle. Go on an exclusive tour, and have fun trying to figure out how this one diminutive man somehow lifted numerous multi-ton limestone pieces to build this incredible structure. Then, experience a one of a kind tropical park, with hundreds of varieties of tropical trees, fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs and nuts. Take a private tour. Enjoy tasting different kinds of sapote, uncommon varieties of bananas, other tasty tropical fruits. Then travel to an amazing orchid farm for a behind the scenes tour. #8 Part Day or Full Day: Birding and Photography Tour
Head out into the vast Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, and/or other natural areas inn the pursuit of birds, and more of them! We know really good areas for possibly experiencing all kinds of desirable birds to photograph and see (sometimes depending on the time of year); such as roseatte spoonbills, various species of hawks, swallow tail kites, owls, the critically endangered Everglades snail kites, and much more! We will venture on the back roads into remote areas that give us the best chance of widest array of bird species, as well as tons of other wildlife.
#9 Part or Full Day: Dynamic Group Team Building Tours / Events
We have several team building experiences to fit all kinds of interests and team bonding goals. One of our most authentic and rewarding experiences is our wet walk corporate team building experience. Besides heading out with our experienced naturalist / team building guide way out into remote, beautiful areas with tons of wildlife, like Big Cypress National Preserve, this is an opportunity for team members to build upon their inter-group communication, focus and inter-dependence skills. These rewarding experiences can include the comradery of a wonderful catered lunch out in nature or a lunch out on remote Native tree island village. #10 Full Day: Old Florida History and Eco-Tour
Venture on a 1.5 to 2-hour boat trip way out through the 10,000 Islands section of Everglades National Park and into the Gulf of Mexico. Stop, and get out of the boat to explore a few of the incredible islands, including one where a whole cracker community used to live. Listen the lore of Old Florida from your multi-generational boat captain guide, and promise not to reveal all of the secrets and confessions! Along the way, see dolphins, manatees and a wide array of bird species. Also enjoy the authentic charms of a historic trading post, a wonderful museum, and a hunting lodge. Enjoy lunch at an authentic Old Florida restaurant, with stone crab (harvested right there) if you like. Then, led by your experienced guide, go on a nature walk in Big Cypress; chock full of intriguing discoveries of days gone by.
#11 Blue to Green Tour
Take off in a private seaplane from beautiful Biscayne Bay near downtown Miami. Fly over the incredible Miami skyline, third largest in the United States, and become entranced by this breathtaking city that is seemingly adjoined by the sea. Enjoy a captivating tour of the area, as you eventually make your way out to the Everglades. Land in the water in the Everglades, and hop on a small air boat that will take you way out into the real Everglades. Venture with your naturalist guide and local boat captain guide way out in the River of Grass. Experience tons of wildlife, including large and baby alligators, and the remote beauty of Native tree island villages where the Native peoples used to live. Add on a nature walk or biking experience with your naturalist guide in the actual National Park too if you desire.
#12 Full Day: Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Snorkel and Lunch
We will head down to beautiful Islamorada in the Florida Keys, and head out on a boat out to two different spots on the coral reef. This can be reserved as a private boat if you prefer; with just you, the experienced boat captain, and the naturalist / marine biologist guide (or first mate guide, depending on the trip). The morning is a beautiful time for this trip out in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. There is a good chance to see docile nurse sharks, sea turtles, all types of rays, a vast array of tropical fish, and much more! Relish in the picturesque views and the memories created on the trip back. After, continue your "Keys life" experience at a wonderful local seafood restaurant for lunch.
#13 Part or Full Day: Big Big Cypress: 3-Hour Swamp Buggy Tour and Scenic Eco and Cultural Experience
Come join us on an exciting wildlife adventure in Big Cypress National Preserve. We will explore some back roads and stop along the way to see a lot of wildlife, including large and baby alligators, and a wide variety of bird species, and much more! Find the hidden beauty of this vast wilderness with your experienced naturalist guide, and listen to the local lore of the small Old Florida villages that still exist there. Then jump on a swamp buggy with a multi-generational Gladesman for a 3-hour trek into the remote places that you can only get to while on this type of vehicle with a local expert. Enjoy a catered picnic lunch in nature. Stop in at a small watering hole to take in the local flavor of this rugged area. Another option is a Night Version of this tour: to enjoy the remote camp with a cookout at night under the stars.
#14 Part Day: Miami 4 Neighborhood Tour
Come along with our expert native guide on some of the back streets to find the hidden gems of Miami's better and lesser known areas. Each neighborhood has its own unique history and vibe, quite palpable on this provocative driving and walking tour. One recommended stop is at the De la Cruz art collection the Design District. Another is to stop for a short guided driving and walking tour in Wynwood, the neighborhood with the highest density of street art found anywhere in the U.S. Or come to discover the true essence of life in days gone by and today while diving into the ecclectic neighborhoods of Edgewater, Little Haiti, Grove Park, El Portal, or Buena Vista. This tour is definitely the real Miami!
#15 Part Day: Brickell and Old Coconut Grove
Discover the real history and culture of Miami with our expert guide. Start out at the Miami Circle, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Learn about this incredibly important archaelogical site, once home to the Tequesta people. Then make your way south to uncover Old Coconut Grove. A guided tour of Viscaya can be included. You will make your way with your native guide on back roads and to special places; to explore the unique history, architecture, and charm of this community, the oldest in South Florida.
#16 Part Day: Fort Lauderdale's Intimate and Eerie History Along the New River
Part narrated scenic driving tour and walking tour, this tour takes you through the original streets of Old Fort Lauderdale. Travel with our local guide through the intimate neighborhoods, and along the New River, to the original Fort Lauderdale settlement of the first non-Native inhabitants. Learn about Seminole history and the role of the river in their culture and daily lives. And stop at the, some say, "haunted" historic places there. Visit the Ft. Lauderdale History Museum, and take a guided tour of the oldest still standing house in Fort Lauderdale. Not only learn the history, but feel its presence still lingering in the air today, amidst today's modern expansion. If you choose, wrap up the perfect tour with a boat tour down the river, or with the perfect local lunch nearby.
#17 Full Day: Key West Personalized Tour
Our local friendly guide really knows the Keys! It's your choice as to how many stops you wish to make on the way down, but we have some really interesting suggestions to choose from; along with the flexibility of grabbing something to eat or stopping to use the restroom whenever. As you take the beautiful trip down across almost 50 bridges out over open ocean, listen to the most intriguing stories about the history and ecology of the Keys. Once you are on Key West, take your time exploring. You will have unlimited access to our vehicle. We're on call. This tour also includes a guided tour, if you'd like, of the historically significant African Slave Memorial and AIDS Memorial. Then walk around, have a cocktail at a local watering hole like Sloppy Joe's, or simply allow yourself to become lost amidst the beauty and charm of Old Key West. We can make snorkeling or any other guided tour arrangements for you too. Walk between the street performers on Mallory Square during a mesmerizing pink sunset before heading back.
#18 Part to Full Day: Special Event - Islamorada Snorkel and Sunset Sail w/ Food and Drink
Head down to the Keys with our local naturalist or marine biologist guide. Head out on a private boat to do some snorkeling in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Then dry off and get comfortable, as we head Bayside. Cruise near an important bird rookery, with many various species of roosting tropical birds. Then sit back and relax, and take in the beautiful ocean vistas, while sipping on unlimited rum punch, beer or wine. Enjoy an assortment of gourmet cheeses and crackers, horderves and appetizers. Experience the intense Keys sunset on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico.
#19 Part Day: Everglades National Park Bike Tour and Air Boat Ride
Come along with your experienced naturalist guide on a bike tour through the actual National Park. Let us take care of all the details. Experience all kinds of wildlife up close, and where it should be seen, in the wild! At this northern area of the National Park called Shark Valley, see large and baby alligators, a wide array of bird species, turtles, fish and much more! Stop at several wildlife hot spots and an observational tower on this 15-mile ride. Learn from your experienced naturalist guide about the flora and fauna and critical role of water in the sustainability of the Everglades. And appreciate why this natural area is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, head out on a smaller air boat way out in the real Everlgades. Stop at a Native tree island village, and become immersed in the rare beauty of their culture and remote way of life.
#20 Part Day: Just a Walk
Join our experienced nature guides or native local guides on a nature or cultural walking tour in our "Just a Walk" series. We will be having 8 of these per year (one per month), starting on October 10, 2020. Unlike some of our other tours, our guests will meet us at the trail head, city spot, or other starting point; instead of us providing transportation. This is a great inexpensive tour for locals, seasonal residents, out of town visitors, or anyone simply wanting to become immersed in some of the real natural areas and hidden gems of South Florida.
Besides these "Just a Walk" events, there will be 4 "expert lecture events / virtual tours" provided online through Zoom - starting on 11/29/20. These intriguing 1-hour events will each feature a different topic and/or theme, involving the wild spaces of South Florida, ecological issues, and cultural tours. And they will be led by local experts in their field. Topics and themes will be posted here and in the "Join" section. The details for each of these 12 events will be announced here very soon.
