Everglades Adventure Tour w/ Dry Hike Led by an Experienced Naturalist
Tour Highlights:
- Come with us on a 1-hour air boat way out in the real Everglades! On this smaller air boat, we get to go way out there; where we typically see larger alligators, baby alligators, a wide variety of birds and other wildlife! This sometimes includes the critically endangered Everglades snail kite. On this exhilarating ride, you’ll find yourself mesmerized by the reflection of the white clouds on the water, far from land in the middle of the “River of Grass.”
- Visit a remote Native village. We stop at one or two Native tree island villages where they used to live; and that you can only get to by boat and on this tour. Become immersed in their special customs and the authentic beauty of their remote way of life.
- Embark on a 1-hour boat trip in the 10,000 Islands region of Everglades National Park. Listen to the fascinating real stories of days gone by from multi-generational boat captains who know the life of this region better than anyone. This is your chance to see bottlenose dolphins, manatees, sawfish, brown and white pelicans, osprey, roseate spoonbills, and much more. On this exhilarating ride, you will explore this critical mangrove estuary in the heart of the real Everglades.
- Step back in time with a visit to a historic trading post, where the first settlers to the areas traded with the Seminoles.
- Go on a dry nature walk led by your experienced naturalist guide. On this walk, we know where all the wildlife is, and we get to see a lot of it up close, and where wildlife should be experienced, in the wild! We never go to places with animals in cages and pens. We typically see baby alligators, large alligators, other wildlife and a wide variety of bird species! Guests learn about the natural flora and fauna, and better understand the critical role of water flow and quality in shaping the historic Everglades; as well about recent conservation efforts.
- Enjoy a wonderful hearty local lunch with many choices in Everglades City (all inclusive).
- Take a scenic wildlife spotting drive with your master naturalist guide through Big Cypress National Preserve. Stop at several different locations and experience the wide variety of animals and bird species that make this region their home. Get your cameras ready. Often taking back roads, we know where to find the wildlife! We will be on the lookout for a vast array of birds as well, like red shoulder hawks, short tailed hawks, wood storks, roseate spoonbills, and more! Take a deep breath of the pure air as you travel through the five distinct ecosystems that make up this expanse of the Everglades.

Just One Recent Review:
This tour is absolutely wonderful!! We had an amazing day!! We saw over 50 alligators, a ton of different and beautiful birds & dolphins. This tour is a perfect combination of must sees in The Everglades. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to avoid the more touristy experiences like alligator wrestling.
