Fantastic Trip to the Everglades We are looking forward to this trip as part of my wifes birthday treat whilst on a few days stop-over in Florida. Arranging it from the UK was easy enough, but I had a few nerves that it might not go to plan.
However, the communications from Ben, Caroline and the Wild Lime Adventure team was excellent and very reassuring.
Our guide for the day was Elijah. He was just excellent. He arrived at our hotel, to pick us up, in good time, and he was polite, very knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the environment and its history.
The walk through the area was brought to life by Elijah, who was full of enthusiasm to educate us, in an affable manner. When we encountered a resting alligator by the side of the path, he ensured we kept a respective distance, but used the opportunity to enlighten us on these fascinating creatures.
Skimming through the Everglades on the airboat was safe, exciting and great fun. Again Elijah, and the boat captain, were very informative and engaging.
Elijah, ably supported by the rest of the team, made this trip the highlight of our short visit to the USA before moving on.
Details such as the use of sun cream, insect repellent, chilled water and snacks etc were most welcome. And the reusable water bottle was an unexpected bonus.

More than just the Everglades! Great experience with Lime Adventure guide Enoch through the Shark Valley extension of Everglades National Park- and extending into a airboat ride with the Miccosukee Village airboat company. Enoch was extremely knowledgeable about not only the wildlife of Everglades but plants and general history of the region. He had a great sense of what we and others on the tour were interested in and tailored the experience to our interests. The Everglades is an interesting area and is a place that is especially relevant today with continuous hurricanes, human expansion, pollution and chemical runoff from agriculture. So these areas not only need protection but our responsibility to ensure we don't inadvertently harm the landscape, its plants and animals and most importantly ensure the story/history of the people and cultures that inhabited the area is not lost. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in an experience that gives you more than the run-of-the-mill standing near a sign and listening to a tour guide. Wild Lime takes you to the water for a close up view of an alligator, or soft-shell turtle, identifying unique plants and birds, visiting the patches of land that the Miccosukee people's occupied to hide from government troops attempting to displace them. I'm all about understanding the whole story on tours, how things are integrated and its relevance to today - this is a solid tour if you have a day to explore and learn! read more

Perfect day out We had an absolutely fabulous day out with Eli. He was very knowledgeable about the area and took great trouble to share that knowledge with us. From the time he picked us up at our hotel to the time he dropped us off he took great care of us making sure we had drinks and nibbles and comfort breaks.
The Everglades area is great and the partners who provided the boat trips and lunch were equally as knowledgeable, friendly and professional as Eli.

A great tour! This was a great experience! Enoch was an excellent guide. He shared information with us about the plants and critters we encountered, and answered all the crazy questions we had! Water and snacks were provided along with a couple stops for bathroom breaks and additional food if wanted. The air boat was so much fun and we saw several young 'gators swimming around. A very good tour! read more

Amazing experience at the Everglades It was a fantastic experience, there was so much to learn about the Everglades and the indigenous people. Elijah was a great tour guide who showed us around with amazing depth of knowledge about all the flora and fauna of the Everglades. Would definitely recommend, although if you can then I would say the best time to go would be in the winters cause then you get to see many more alligators. read more

What a great day! Elijah our guide made the experience an adventure. He was very knowledgeable about the wilderness and all of its secrets. Shared the history of the Seminole tribe and their struggles to exist. He also led us to see all kinds of wildlife, giving real time information on what we were seeing. Lots of wildlife were seen including fish, birds, turtles, spiders, grasshoppers, alligators, and even dolphins. I would highly recommend this tour if you like history and want to learn about southern Florida or the Everglades. read more

Memorable day out in the Everglades The day was so memorable. Eli our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make the day special. Cannot thank him enough.
We did not use the pick up service and drove straight to the start point so cannot comment on that service.

Amazing experience and no captive animals Great tour to the Everglades (walk + air boat). Our guide Enoch provided a lot of super interesting information about plants and animals. Important: No alligator "shows" in this tour, which should be greatly appreciated by those of you who don't support any kind of animal cruelty ;) read more

The real deal! If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Everglades like we did for years and can’t work out as an o/s visitor how to ‘do it all’ in a day without bring camping or hiking kit in your luggage- this is the only tour to do. Literally covered the vastly different eco systems from the Gulf of Mexico through to the fascinating Alligator holes in the Cypress National park to the iconic fanboat ride over the shallowest of swamps finding Alligators. Our guide Eli just knew so much across so many subjects. For me with a fascination for all things botanical he had a great knowledge of everything we were looking at on our hike and I learnt so much! A day that will take a lot to beat! read more
