FAQ
What should I bring?
We provide a lot of things, so you don't really have to bring much.
Some people bring a hat or sunglasses. Bringing some type of water bottle is also a good idea, so you can fill up with water when you want.
How much is a normal tip for the boat captains?
Typically, like $5 per person for a shared tour. A private tour might be more like $15 to $20 per person.
How much is a typical tip for a Wild Lime guide?
Whatever you think sounds reasonable. There is no set amount. Some guests tip like $10 or $20 per person. Tipping is customary and much appreciated, although not mandatory. We can send you your guide's Venmo or Zelle handle upon request. Thank you for considering!
Can I get a discount if I reserved through a third-party seller?
No. Unfortunately, we can only provide the direct booking discount and the meet-up discount for direct bookings.
Is it a hard walk?
No, it's a very easy walk, and we take our time. We take our time because there is usually a lot of wildlife and we just want people to enjoy it! We have had all ages on this tour - from young kids to people in their 80s.
Are there mosquitoes?
Surprisingly, many parts of the year there are not usually too many mosquitoes, if any. There can be mosquitoes though in the summer to early fall months, some years more than others. We have mosquito repellent if you need some.
What kind of shoes should I wear?
We recommend just being comfortable. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Sneakers, trainers, and even sandals are fine; as long as it is comfortable to walk in. You don't need hiking boots.
What kind of clothes should I wear?
From April through early November, it can get pretty hot out there! So, just dress comfortably. Shorts and a T-shirt are usually fine. In the winter it can be warm too, but it can also get chilly out there sometimes, and we will be out on two different boat trips, for a total of 2.5 hours. So, if it is a chilly day, bring a sweater or light jacket!
What is the minimum age requirement?
5 years old for shared tours but no minimum for private tours.
