Tour Highlights:
Day 1 - Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglades National Park
- Pick up at your location R/T transportation in new sprinter-like vehicles
- Venture to Big Cypress National Preserve for a wet walk with a naturalist guide.
- Narrated backroads tour along the way looking for rare birds and other wildlife
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local charming restaurant
- Take a one-hour boat trip way out into the pristine 10,000 Island section of Everglades National Park
- Visit an historic trading post
- Embark on an air-boat ride co-led by a guide from the local Native America community.
- Check in to a hotel on South Beach where you can enjoy the beach, one of many fine dining choices or even a bit of the famous SOBE nightlife
- Breakfast and Dinner on your own
- Lunch, snacks, and drinks included
Day 2 – Everglades National Park
- Begin our comprehensive immersion into all of the major habitats found in Everglades National Park. We will drive from the main entrance down to remote Flamingo stopping along the way to go on 4 short hikes through a variety of habitats. Learn what makes each unique and important to the overall health of this delicate ecosystem. There are 9 separate ecosystems located within Everglades National Park.
- Drive to Key West stopping along the way at a few quirky and unique “Keys” places
- Check into hotel in the downtown area near Duval Street in Key West
- Breakfast and Dinner on your own
- Lunch, snacks, and drinks included
Day 3 – Dry Tortugas National Park
- Check in early to the Yankee Freedom and enjoy the two-hour journey out to one of the U.S. most remote National Parks.
- Spend the day snorkeling in the nature preserve with your guide and exploring the Civil War era Fort Jefferson. Wonder at the blue-green expanse of one of the most beautiful spots in the United States.
- Arrive back to Key West in time to catch the famous sunset and see the street performers of Mallory Square
- Breakfast and lunch included
- Dinner on your own
Day 4 – Key West
- Spend the morning touring some of the famous sites of Key West with narrated tour of Key West including stopping at the moving African Slave Memorial
- Enjoy an afternoon on your own (visit famous places like the Hemingway House, Little Truman White House, Mel Fisher’s Shipwreck Museum or spend the afternoon doing one of many water activities that Key West is famous for)
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner on your own
Day 5 – Dry Tortugas National Park
- We will depart early to visit Biscayne National Park
- Breakfasts, lunch and dinner on your own
